2. Data We Collect

When you submit the project-enquiry form, we collect:

  • your name;
  • your email address;
  • the location of the proposed project;
  • your project description;
  • any project files you choose to attach;
  • the content and date of subsequent correspondence.

Fields marked with an asterisk are required to assess and respond to your enquiry. If you do not provide this information, we may be unable to review the project or contact you.

When you contact us by email or website chat, we may also collect the contact details and information contained in your communication.

When you use the website, technical data may be processed automatically, including your IP address, browser and device type, access time, pages visited, cookie preferences and information required for security and technical diagnostics.

Please provide personal data relating to another person only where this is necessary and you are authorised to do so. Do not upload identity documents, tax records, health information or unrelated personal data unless specifically requested by IDE Consulting LP.

3. How and Why We Use Your Data

We process personal data for the following purposes:

  • To review and respond to project enquiries, request clarification, arrange an initial discussion and prepare or discuss a possible proposal. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract and, where applicable, our legitimate interest in managing genuine business enquiries.
  • To provide professional services where an enquiry results in an appointment, including engineering design, permitting, project coordination, site supervision, project management and construction services. The legal basis is the performance of the relevant contract and compliance with applicable legal and professional obligations.
  • To operate and secure the website, prevent spam or misuse, troubleshoot technical issues and record cookie preferences. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in maintaining a functional and secure website.
  • To obtain optional website analytics, but only where you have selected “Accept optional cookies”. The legal basis is your consent.
  • To comply with legal obligations or protect legal rights, including the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

Submitting the form does not subscribe you to a newsletter or marketing list. We do not use project-enquiry information for unrelated promotional communications without a separate legal basis or consent.

We do not use data submitted through the website for decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

4. Cookies, Analytics and reCAPTCHA

The website uses cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for basic operation, security, service continuity and storage of your cookie preferences.

With your consent, GoDaddy Advanced Tracking may process aggregated website-use metrics to help us understand site usage and improve performance. Optional tracking is activated only after you select Accept optional cookies. You may select Reject optional cookies to continue without optional analytics.

The project-enquiry form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA to reduce spam and automated misuse.

Google may process technical and interaction data in accordance with its own privacy policy and service terms. The website does not currently use Google Analytics or Meta Pixel.

You may manage optional tracking through the website’s cookie banner and may also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may affect some website functions.

5. Service Providers and International Transfers

We use service providers that may process personal data to provide their services, including:

  • GoDaddy, for the website builder, hosting, contact form, website chat, Advanced Tracking and GoDaddy Conversations;
  • the email provider used for info@idelp.com;
  • Google, in connection with reCAPTCHA;
  • IT, security or technical-support providers where required;
  • professional advisers, courts, regulators or public authorities where disclosure is legally necessary.

Messages and files submitted through the website may be stored in our business email account and in GoDaddy Conversations. We do not sell or rent personal data submitted through the website.

GoDaddy and Google operate internationally, and certain website, form, security or analytics data may be processed outside the European Economic Area. Where required, such transfers are made using safeguards recognised under applicable data-protection law, such as an adequacy decision or Standard Contractual Clauses. Further information is available in each provider’s privacy documentation.

6. Retention and Security

Project enquiries, correspondence and attachments that do not result in a professional appointment are retained for up to 12 months from the last communication. They are then deleted from our active business email and GoDaddy Conversations, unless:

  • the enquiry remains active;
  • you have requested longer retention;
  • retention is required by law;
  • the information is reasonably required for a legal claim.

Where an enquiry results in an appointment, relevant information becomes part of the client or project file and is retained for the duration of the professional relationship and for any additional period required by contractual, professional, tax, accounting, insurance or legal obligations.

Technical records and cookie preferences are retained according to security requirements and the relevant provider settings. Deleted information may remain temporarily in routine provider backups until the applicable deletion cycle is completed.

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, loss or misuse. Access is limited to persons who require the information for legitimate business purposes. However, no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

7. Your Rights

Subject to the conditions and limitations of applicable law, you have the right to:

  • request information about how your personal data is processed;
  • request access to your personal data;
  • request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • request deletion where the data is no longer required;
  • request restriction of processing;
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests;
  • request data portability where applicable;
  • withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

Withdrawal of consent does not affect processing carried out lawfully before the withdrawal.

To exercise a right, contact info@idelp.com. We may request information reasonably necessary to confirm your identity and prevent unauthorised disclosure.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority.

8. External Links, Children and Policy Updates

The website contains links to third-party platforms, including LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, Google Business Profile, ORCID, Google Scholar and ResearchGate. When you follow an external link, the relevant third party is responsible for its own processing of personal data.

The website and the professional services described on it are not directed at children. We do not knowingly request personal data from children through the website.

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the website, service providers, tracking technologies, data-processing activities or applicable law. The current version and revision date will be published on this page.
